Curious Friday.

I haven't done one of these for a couple of weeks, but only one person responded to my last one... so I want COMMENTS, people!!!!

Now that I've reached the 8th month mark, I'm becoming more and more anxious about when the baby will come. I'm kind of just going through these days knowing that I'll see her at some point, but I don't realize that it could happen any day. My doctor has me on meds to try to prevent her from coming in the next 4 weeks, but it could still happen. I'm just getting really anxious to see her and hold her for the first time. Plus, now that I've started doing hypnobabies, labor and delivery is becoming quite the reality. And, I have to admit, I'm getting a little nervous.

So... how did you feel about the days and weeks before you delivered? Were you feeling normal, uncomfortable, constant contractions? Share your story with me. :)

With Harley, Baby #1, I was getting a little anxious, very uncomfortable. I stopped working a couple weeks before delivery day because my feet were so swollen, I had to wear slippers everywhere. My fingers looked like giant sausage... I retained water bad! I didn't start having contractions until the weekend I went to the hospital to have him. They did send me home once for about two hours, then my water broke and I came right back.

With Carter, Baby #2, I didn't swell up and I worked up until the weekend I had him. I felt great. I actually thought I would be fine and going to work on Monday until I started going into labor on Saturday night/Sunday morning. We went to the hospital in the morning and the nurse was evil. She kept trying to send me home. We ended up going down the road to my mom's boyfriend's house and visiting everyone, then I started to bleed and I said, let's go. The nurse still kept treating me like I was an idiot and not in labor until finally her shift was over, another nurse checked me and said, we have to get you into a room right now! The evil nurse had kept me in triage. The next day when the evil nurse was back, she said, oh... you had your baby. And I was like, yeah, I know (bitch!).

Bahaha That nurse sounds like such a horrible bitch! I hope I don't have one like that.
